The KTmfk at the SheMet25 in Paderborn
The KTmfk took part in SheMet25 in Paderborn from March 31 to April 3. SheMet is an international scientific conference that focuses on current developments, methods and applications in sheet metal processing and forming technology. The KTmfk was represented by a scientific paper by Jonathan-Markus Einwag, which analyzed the impact of the distribution of input parameters on the quality of metamodels for the prediction of joining point properties. This paper was written as part of the TRR 285 research project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), which is concerned with the Method development for mechanical joinability in versatile process chains. In the subsequent discussion with representatives from industry and science, the high level of interest in data-driven methods for predicting joints became clear. The article has been published as an open access publication in the conference proceedings Sheet Metal 2025.
